There’s also a vegan menu (black bean taco, sweet potato curry) and afternoon tea (classic, vegan or chipotle-fired Brooklyn style) served in the rooftop bar. The restaurant and bar is named Runyon’s, after the Prohibition-era New York journalist and short-story writer (read him, you won’t regret it), and mixes together gastropub favourites such as burgers and beer-battered fish and chips with Americana such as crab and corn chowder, cauliflower and cornbread fritters and slaw, charred-chicken tacos, BBQ finger ribs and dirty fries (like the rest of the hotel, the New York theme can be taken with a pinch of salt).
